T-Mobile (TMUS) CEO John Legere is on a mission to make the "smartphone meet the TV."

"The smartphone hasn't met the TV - we need to introduce them to each other," Legere said in an interview with TheStreet.

With T-Mobile's recent acquisition of LayerTV, Legere said a future content acquisition could "possibly" make sense, but he's not trying to "leave the industry and go into another one."
