'Twas the Night Before Christmas

The countdown is on.  Just a few days left before millions of Americans will celebrate Christmas. And it's no surprise that most people overspend for the holidays.  According to Nerd Wallet's 2017 Consumer Holiday Shopping Report, the average American will spend about $660 on purchases this year. That's actually about the same as they spent last year.

So who spends the most? Baby Boomers spend on average $800. Gen Xers spend about $679 and Millennials follow with purchases of about $434 for the holidays.

So what should you do to save money during the holidays?  Well, start with a list and a budget and stick to it.
