Activision Blizzard (ATVI)  is the first of 14 core holdings that Jim Cramer believes investors can build their portfolio around into the new year.

The Action Alerts Plus team views Activision Blizzard as a core holding into 2018 as it stands to benefit from a number of industry wide and firm specific catalysts in 2018 and the years to come. Chief among these are the growing eSports phenomenon, which Activision is already leading the way with thanks to the launch of its Overwatch League last week and a shift toward digital distribution and micro-transactions.
