The news that Mike Pompeo is set to replace Rex Tillerson immediately dominated Tuesday's news cycle, leading us to take a look at Pompeo's resume. Who exactly is our new secretary of state? 

Prior to his stint with the CIA, Pompeo served as the U.S. Representative for Kansas's 4th congressional district from 2011 to 2017. Outside of politics, he started and served as CEO of Thayer Aerospace until selling it in 2006.

Pompeo graduated first in his class at West Point and served in the Army for five years. He received his J.D. from Harvard.
