Having launched an investigation into the issue of 'loot boxes', Belgium's Gaming Commission warned that mixing gambling and gaming is "dangerous for the mental health of the child"

While in Australia, an analyst for the Victorian Commission for Gambling & Liquor Regulation stated that 'Loot Boxes' fit the definition of gambling.

It remains to be seen whether these commissions will take action against developers to limit or prohibit the use of loot boxes.
