All eyes will be on Tesla's financials, particularly those concerning the Model 3, when Tesla (TSLA) reports its quarterly earnings Wednesday. 

But, Model 3, who? While you've been waiting for your Tesla (TSLA) Model 3 to roll off the production line, Elon Musk has revealed a host of new products as the company tries to charge its way into the future. 

Recently, Musk surprised his loyal followers with a first look at a high-end $250,000 roadster during an event where he also revealed an electric tractor trailer semi-truck. 

But that's far from from the first thing the always interesting CEO has unveiled since the Model 3 first made headlines over a year ago.

While innovation will be key to Tesla's success, has Musk bitten off more than he can chew?
