Shark Tank Star Kevin O'Leary has found a solution to high-cost investing: allowing investors to buy fractional shares of stocks.

O'Leary launched Beanstox, an app that allows users to invest in 1,000 stocks and over 100 exchange traded funds with as little as $5 or $10.

After speaking at events at colleges across the country, students would ask O'Leary how they can buy Apple (AAPL) shares if they only have $50. The stock trades at $175. Beanstox fills this gap, O'Leary says.

"My goal by the end of Q1 [of 2018] is to have 100,000 people building their future [on the app]," O'Leary said. "We need to teach our young people how to invest."

O'Leary is chairman of O'Shares ETF Investments
