Trading individuals stocks isn't enough. 

The futures market offers opportunities to boost returns, especially when the stock market is closed. 

Futures trading is a powertool in your portfolio, but it's not the big bazooka, according to Jeff Kilburg, CEO of KKM Financial.

"You can use futures to replicate your stock portfolio," Kilburg said.
