You might be seeing robots barreling down the aisles of your local Walmart (WMT) soon.

The machines are going to assist staff by scanning for out-of-stock items that have been mislabeled or incorrectly priced. Walmart has assured the public that the robots are not replacing staff, but complementing their workflow. Testing of the robots has been effective for the past three years in Arkansas, Pennsylvania and California - and you should see the robots in 50 more stores by the end of January.

Rest assured, this is just the beginning of retail robot helpers.
