It's time for Parisian drivers to start shopping for electric cars. The city is set to ban traditional gas vehicles by 2013.
So, get behind the wheel of an electric vehicle otherwise walk or take public transit. The city is fighting back against particle pollution in the air and weaning its citizens from guzzling gas.
"This is about planning for the long term with a strategy that will reduce greenhouse gases." Christophe Najdovski, transport policy official.
The decision to ban non-electric cars marks a radical escalation of anti-pollution policy and many other countries, like China, are thinking of joining the movement.
