Steven Spielberg and Apple (AAPL - Get Report) have united to bring the 1980s cult classic Amazing Stories back into the media mainstream. The Emmy-winning series ran on NBC from 1985-1987 and there's no word on when the current iteration will be released.
Much like Netflix's (NFLX - Get Report) popular Black Mirror series, each episode is its own standalone story. However, we're hoping that some of the show's intoxicatingly eighties flair remains. Some of the more memorable episodes include Christopher Lloyd as a nasty teacher in the thriller, Go to the Head of the Class and The Wedding Ring starring Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman. Fingers crossed they bring they bring some of the original actors and actresses as well.
