Heavy metal fans know Dave Mustaine as the leader of the band Megadeth, but he is now growing a new following in the wine world. 

Through is latest venture Mustaine Vineyards, his fans can share his love of wine.

Mustaine spoke to TheStreet's David Marcus about his relationship with wine that started out growing up homeless and drinking "gut rot." But it was a concert with the San Diego symphony that inspired him to launch his own wine.

Mustaine Vineyards is a family business and he says the idea came after he suffered an arm injury that left his guitar playing in jeopardy. The Vineyard is something Mustaine plans to spend even more time on whenever he decides his days in Megadeth are done.
