Walmart (WMT) brought in $1.08 billion in the recent quarter versus $1.07 billion expected. Same store sales at the retailer were up 1.8%, matching estimates. Walmart says e-commerce merchandise volume was up 67%. Target (TGT) will partner will Barnes & Noble (BKS) college booksellers to offer its merchandise through college bookstores across the country. The move will bring Target's products to millions of additional students. Target will be taking direct aim at Amazon (AMZN) , who offers prime memberships to college students at half price for a limited time. Protestors abandoned their plans to gather outside Google's (GOOGL) office this weekend. The organizers say there were threats from what they called left-wing "terrorist groups". The rally was to protest Google's firing of an engineer, James Damore, for writing a memo that questioned if women were able to compete properly in technology fields.
