President Trump disbanded his manufacturing council before more CEOs could resign. Before Trump's announcement, some CEOs, including Inge Thulin, the chairman and CEO of 3M (MMM) announced their resignations. Pressure has been mounting on CEOs to step down from President Donald Trump's American Manufacturing Council, after the leaders of Merck (MRK) , Under Armour (UAA)  and Intel (INTC)  quit Monday.

The CEOs quit over Trump's lukewarm response to racist violence over the weekend in Charlottesville.
