Nissan (NSANY) is taking child safety to the next level.

The automaker has developed a Rear Door Alert system or RDA, to remind parents about their kids sitting in the backseat of the car. It sends an alert on the car's dashboard and even activates the car's horn if needed.  

The technology is standard on the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder.
