Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google is stepping up the battle against Extremist content by introducing new measures to identify and remove extremist content from its video sharing platform YouTube. Google will also issue warnings and not monetize supremacist or inflammatory content. Alphabet has been criticized for not doing enough to remove violent or extremist content

"While we and others have worked for years to identify and remove content that violates our policies, the uncomfortable truth is that we, as an industry, must acknowledge that more needs to be done. Now," Google's General Counsel Kent Walker said in a statement.
