The annual ranking combines economic, health and polling data on approximately 3,000 respondents in each of 155 countries. Norway took the top spot. . Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland and Finland rounded out the top five. In addition to the rankings, this year's report includes an analysis of happiness in the workplace and a deeper look at China and Africa. 2018's report will focus on migration.
