Apple's (AAPL) massive new headquarters, nicknamed the spaceship, will be the center of future innovation for years to come. The campus dubbed Apple Park will house more than 13,000 Apple employees starting in April. The building is more than 1 mile round.

The campus will be set in a 2.8 million-square-foot area. There will be 300,000 square feet of research facilities, a 100,000-square-foot fitness center, an underground 1,000-seat "Apple Theater" auditorium and will run on 100% renewable energy. Designed by the architect firm of Foster+Partners, it should open sometime in 2017.
