These five companies announced this week that they will repurchase shares.

Pfizer  (PFE) is repurchasing $5 billion of its common stock. Madison Square Garden (MSG) is entering a Rule 10b5-1 stock repurchase plan to buy back more shares.

L Brands (LB) authorized a new $250 million stock buyback program. Tenneco (TEN) is buying back up to $400 million of its common stock over the next three years.

Woodward's (WWD) board of directors authorized a new $500 million stock repurchase program.
