Investors were standing by for Donald Trump's closely watched inauguration speech, which is expected at 12 p.m. EST. Some 800,000 people are expected to watch the speech live along the National Mall in Washington. Meanwhile, General Electric (GE - Get Report) posted lackluster fourth quarter results, matching estimates on the bottom line and missing forecasts on the top line. Revenue in its oil and gas segment slumped 22% to $3.4 billion. The company is merging that division with Baker Hughes (BHI) . Procter & Gamble shares (PG - Get Report) moved higher after reporting adjusted earnings of $1.08 a share, slightly ahead of estimates. Revenue of $16.85 billion topped estimates of $16.77 billion. P&G said foreign exchange headwinds may ding its sales growth in 2017.
