CES is increasing its auto shows, and the technology ecosystem that spans semiconductors to software is as much of the story as the cars themselves. Case in point: Chipmaker Nvidia (NVDA - Get Report) co-founder and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang gives the keynote address on Wednesday, and self-driving cars will be a major part of the agenda. 

Mobileye (MBLY) and Delphi (DLPH - Get Report) plan a 6.3-mile autonomous road trip in an Audi Q5, which they call the "most complex" self-driving demo ever. While the mobile phone market is increasingly unfriendly to BlackBerry (BBRY) , the company is at home in cars and deploys in software in more than 60 million vehicles. Chairman and CEO John Chen will discuss the role that software and hardware companies play in the auto industry in a panel.

Faraday future will unveil its highly anticipated electric model that is a direct challenge to Tesla (TSLA - Get Report) . Looks like the future of auto technology is here at last.
