The transformation of healthcare will continue under President-elect Donald Trump, who is expected to push forward with the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. But building a system to replace it presents challenges, according to to Susan DeVore, CEO of the healthcare improvement company Premier (PINC) . "At the end of the day, you've got to have high-quality, safe and affordable healthcare, and you've got to have people who have the ability to have insurance," said DeVore, who added the big challenge will be removing mandates and still making sure people have continuous coverage. DeVore believes consumers must have a say when it comes to healthcare insurance. "The healthcare system gets transformed when patients, consumers and providers together change the way healthcare is being delivered," she added. For Premier, the pending changes in healthcare presents opportunities. Devore says Premier has been growing at double-digit rates and she sees that growth continuing into 2017.
