The hotel saw 44 percent more visits than the Hilton (HLT - Get Report) Barra Rio de Janeiro, the second most popular hotel, according to Foursquare data. 'The Belmond had a $20 million renovation in 2012 and the Hilton opened in 2015,' said Sarah Spagnolo, Foursquare's editor-at-large. On the restaurant side, Foursquare said Outback Steakhouse, a division of Bloomin' Brands (BLMN - Get Report) , was the most popular restaurant in Rio during the games.
