On Friday, July 29, investors await quarterly results from Anheuser-Busch Inbev (BUD) and the first estimate of second quarter GDP. Before the markets open, the beverage maker is expected to release earnings of $1.00 a share on sales of $10.93 billion. During the same quarter a year ago, the company reported profit of $1.21 a share with revenue of $11.05 billion. Investors will be looking for updates on the company's proposed $104 billion acquisition of SABMiller. Other companies including United Parcel Service (UPS - Get Report) , Xerox Corporation (XRX - Get Report) , Merck (MRK - Get Report) and Cigna (CIG - Get Report) report before the markets open. On the economic calendar, the first estimate of second quarter gross domestic product is released at 8:30am Eastern. Analysts expect economic growth of 2.6 percent during the quarter, ahead of the 1.1 percent growth seen during the first quarter. TheStreet's Scott Gamm reports from Wall Street.
