Alliance Data Systems (ADS)  may be headed for a sale or breakup. Activist hedge fund ValueAct, run by Jeff Ubben, claimed an 11 percent stake in the company last week. The company produces branded credit cards for Pier 1 (PIR) and Limited Brands (LTD) . Possible buyers may include Wells Fargo (WFC)  and American Express (AXP) , among other financial and technology firms. TheStreet's Scott Gamm speaks with The Deal's Ron Orol from Washington.
