Sonic Healthcare (SKHCY) shares are up a nifty 16 percent thus far in 2016, and while investors may cheer the short term returns, it's over the long term where the Australian diagnostic company will really pay off, said Edmund Harriss, portfolio manager for the Guinness Atkinson Asia Pacific Dividend Builder Fund (GAADX) . 'Sonic Healthcare has grown its dividend 15 straight years at an average of 15 percent per year,' said Harriss. 'It has the wind at its back due to the aging populations it serves in Australia and Europe.' The Guinness Atkinson Asia Pacific Dividend Builder Fund is down 40 basis points thus far in 2016, according to Morningstar.
