TheStreet's Rhonda Schaffler spoke with up-and-comer Andrew Rubin, CEO of Illumio at The Milken Institute's Global Conference 2016 in Los Angeles. Rubin leads the 18-month old rapidly growing unicorn company, which is jockeying to carve out an influential space in the crowded cybersecurity market.  Rubin says the firm's software offers an MRI-like capability or what it calls 'illumination' to tackle data security attacks and threats which are growing 'parabolically.' Ninety percent of all of the world's data was created in the last 24 months he said. Illumio recently raised $142.5 million by tapping into investors which include John Thomspon, Micorosft's Chairman. While the CEO wouldn't offer specific timing, he said the company does plan to go public in the future.
