Billionaire investor Carl Icahn is warning of danger ahead. The activist investor is releasing a new video in which he says low rates caused bubbles in art, real estate, and high-yield bonds. He says when the bubble bursts it could cause potentially dramatic consequences. He blames the Federal Reserve for sticking with low interest rates too long and says it has 'backed itself into a corner'. Alcoa (AA) is splitting into two separate companies. One company will focus on what they call 'upstream', which will focus on Bauxite and mining. The other is 'value add' and will focus on products. Alcoa expects the split to be complete by the second half of next year. Anheuser Busch (BUD) Inbev could bid $106 billion for SABMiller. An opening offer could be made this week. Reports say the two biggest brewers in the world have begun 'friendly' talks.
