21st Century Fox topped the weekend box office for the second weekend in a row with "Dawn of The Planet of The Apes" beating out new releases at the box-office. The box-office winner generated $36 million its second weekend after its opening weekend of $72 million in ticket sales. The summer sequel outsold new releases like thriller "The Purge: Anarchy" and Disney's "Planes: Fire and Rescue" which earned $28 million and $18 million respectively. Total domestic earnings to date for the sci-fi film is $139 million. Six 21st Century Fox movie releases have bested $100 million in domestic ticket sales making 21st Century Fox the leading Hollywood studio with more than $1.1 billion in sales this year.
