Additionally, 28% of the S&P 500 report quarterly earnings. Key earnings include Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, Starbucks, Verizon, Comcast and a number of defense and industrial names. Peter Costa, President of Empire Executions, believes the market could see some volatility in the week ahead due to the heavy earnings calendar, lending to more trading action, particularly if M&A activity remains strong.
