The surge in new car sales this spring along with the massive GM recalls will boost Solera's insurance software sales through the rest of 2014 and into 2015, said the company's CEO Tony Aquila. Aquila said the dealers and repair shops will use Solera software to check the recall items. He also said the company has also been expanding into the auto glass and property sectors, and has seen its European business improve with the economic recovery. Finally, Aquila said he expects insurers will use Solera's software to help their policyholders get better pricing and become more knowledgeable about the claims process.
