Crumbs could be getting a second chance. The cupcake company was at death's door earlier in the week having shuttered all of its stores on Tuesday, a result of bleeding profits and underperforming locations. Now, though, it's close to receiving a round of financing which could help restore operations. CEO Edward Slezak said in a statement the company is in discussions with several parties which could provide a lifeline. 'We are pleased to be in talks with various interested parties that are allowing us to pursue all of our options for the business, which includes consideration of restructuring alternatives' Slezak said in the statement.
