United Continental shares will survive a temporary spike in oil prices because the airline has been effective in its cost cutting and flight routing, says Bernie Williams, CIO of USAA Investment Solutions. Williams is also positive on NXP Semiconductors because of its growing credit card chip business in addition to the widely speculated deal with Apple. Finally, Williams is bullish on Hewlett Packard's stock, saying the company has a cheap valuation and its traditional business lines including printers and personal computers are generating cash which is serving the company well as it reorganizes itself.
