New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd flew to Colorado to write about edible marijuana. She apparently decided to sample the product before doing any preliminary research and ate too much. Her column, published on Tuesday, became widely ridiculed for its 'Reefer Madness' tone where she described laying in a hallucinatory state for eight hours thinking she had died. Only after her experiment did she ask about dosage amounts. Colorado is issuing new edible legislation as a result of uneducated consumers overdosing on edible marijuana products and having bad experiences.
