The "Internet of Things" is now a reality and Control4 is offering homeowners the option of a wired household through both Apple and Android devices, says the company's CEO Martin Plaehn. Revenue was up 21% in Control4's first quarter because American's want to be able to remotely control their lighting and shading in their homes. Plaehn says the 31% rise in international sales was due to new sales offices in India and China where the technology is also starting to take off. Finally, he says Control4's partnership with Toll will help make a wired household the standard in new home construction.
