Strong subscription growth for Informatica's cloud-based offerings enabled the enterprise software-maker to beat Wall Street estimates in the first quarter, says the company's CEO Sohaib Abbasi. Abbasi says new leadership in Europe was also a big factor in driving Q1 revenue. Abbasi has spent 10 years in the top spot at the company, quadrupling sales to $1B. Finally, Abbasi plans to stay independent and sees the boom in cloud IPOs as a positive for an agnostic player in the data chain like Informatica.
