Supermarkets, value stores and fast casual restaurants remain the best shopping center tenants, while merchants susceptible to e-commerce "showrooming" are increasingly less desirable, says Bruce Schanzer, CEO of Cedar Realty Trust. Schanzer says the frigid winter weather will not hurt results and he is looking to add properties in the Northeast. Finally, Schanzer says Cedar's relative underperformance to the IYR is a natural "give-back" since Cedar has been beating the index for the 2 past years.
