U.S. investors should hold Korean stocks because the country is a gateway to the emerging markets with about 60% of total exports going to emerging countries, says Howard Atkinson, Managing Director at Horizons USA. Horizons launched an exchange traded fund tracking the KOSPI 200 Index Monday under the ticker "HKOR". The largest weighting in the fund is in information technology at 30%, says Atkinson, and while Samsung is an outsized part of the portfolio, the company itself is well diversified.

Disclosure: TheStreet's editorial policy prohibits staff editors and reporters from holding positions in any individual stocks.
