Mixed economic reports have been perceived by the market as good news, says Meridian Equity Partner's Jon Corpina. Big deals like Facebook's acquisition of WhatsApp have helped fuel the underlying positive feeling for traders. Investors have accepted the excuse of bad weather for negative performance, unlike in the past, and this year the excuse seems real. Corpina points out March is right around the corner and warmer weather will help many retailers with pent-up demand.
