Economic data out next week includes retail sales and industrial production for January, two reports that Chris Versace, RealMoney Pro contributor, says will be important to watch. As many retailers have reported January sales that were dampened by the harsh winter weather, Versace says a soft retail sales report from the Department of Commerce may be in store. Also, after industrial production rose in December for the fifth consecutive month, Versace says he actually anticipates this trend could change and the rate of increase could slow.

Christopher Versace writes the " PowerTrend Profits" newsletter and " ETF PowerTrader" trading service, which both use a thematic investing perspective that ties in economics, demographics, psychographics, technology and more. He's also the host of PowerTalk, a weekly podcast that features conversations with public and private management teams, as well as other thought leaders, for the benefit of both individual and institutional investors.
