Shares of leather accessories retailer Coach are falling in morning trading after the company reported worse-than-expected second quarter earnings before the bell. Coach said it earned $1.06 a share in the second quarter, missing analysts' expectations for earnings of $1.11 a share. Revenue also missed expectations for the quarter, falling 5.6% to $1.42 billion for the period, below estimates of $1.49 billion. The company attributed the weak results to lower traffic in its stores in North America, where sales fell 9% to $983 million.
