Traders and investors have high expectations for Q1 and only companies that have strongly beat on earnings are seeing share prices rewarded. This lends to some nice stock picking opportunities as correlation indexes have confirmed. Markets are closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday but the earnings calendar heats up on Tuesday with heavyweights Johnson & Johnson, Advanced Micro Devices, Verizon, and IBM reporting.
