named Kevin Crumbo to its board and said it would seek to add an additional independent director within weeks.
The communications services provider said Crumbo, who works in corporate recovery services with KraftCPAs, has been a consultant to Yak. Yak said Crumbo's addition gives the board six members, including three outside directors. The company said it hopes to add a fourth outside director in the next month or so in order to comply with regulatory strictures.
"We are pleased that Mr. Crumbo has joined the board and will provide ongoing direction for the company, especially at this time of growth which is being driven in the U.S. and through global VoIP strategies," said CEO Charles Zwebner.
Yak also set its annual meeting for Dec. 16 in Toronto, where its headquarters are located.
On Monday, Yak slipped 7 cents to $7.17.
