Yahoo! Top Executives to Leave: Report

Two senior executives at Yahoo! are leaving the Intenret company as CEO Carol Bartz continues her housecleaning.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (

TheStreet

) -- Two senior executives at

Yahoo!

(YHOO)

are leaving the company as CEO Carol Bartz continues her housecleaning.

Executive Vice President Hilary Schneider, who is responsible for its business partnerships and advertising sales in the U.S. and the Americas, is expected to leave, as is David Ko, a senior vice president who oversees strategy for Yahoo!'s media properties and its mobile device partnerships, the

Wall Street Journal

reports, citing people familiar with the matter.

Schneider is leaving because officials haven't been satisfied with her performance, the

Journal

reports. A major search firm began looking for someone to replace Schneider several weeks ago, and a prospect for her position already has been interviewed.

Schneider's departure was first reported by

.

The changes at the Internet company come about as Bartz, who joined Yahoo! in January 2009, tries to turnaround the company's fortunes. People familiar with the matter told the

Journal

she is removing the company's old guard to assemble a new team.
