WrestleMania Running Diary Day 3: The Road to The Biggest Event Of Them All - TheStreet

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (TheStreet) -- World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) - Get Report does a better job than anyone putting on a show that keeps the masses coming back for more.

Its performers and employees are hard at work and on the road for more than 300 days a year, making it a spectacle unlike anything else.

For the past few days, I have been keeping a journal of my trip here to the heart of Silicon Valley for the annual extravaganza. With WrestleMania just hours away, the excitement is escalating.

Now, in the words of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, we just need to Eat. Sleep. Conquer. Repeat.

During the event, WWE noted that this year's WrestleMania set a new attendance record at Levi's Stadium, with 76,967 fans going through the turn styles, grossing $12.6 million in ticket sales. That makes it the fifth-highest attendance for WrestleMania of all time, with WrestleMania 3 holding the distinction of having the most attendees ever: 93,173 screaming fans.

Next year's event is being held in Dallas and may surpass 100,000 fans, which would make it the biggest WrestleMania of all time.

Without further ado, here is the third part of my journal to Santa Clara, with WrestleMania 31 as the ultimate culmination.

5:05 a.m.: Woke up, except now I know I'm excited for WrestleMania, and I'm not jet lagged.

7:18 a.m.: Back from the gym, almost scary how much I look like Brock Lesnar right now. Getting harder and harder to tell us apart.

9:13 a.m.: Going to get some breakfast and do some sight seeing before I have to leave in a couple hours.

10:23 a.m.: Back from some sightseeing. Went over to the Rockbar theater in San Jose, a famous place for people to come and do comedy shows. Lots of other places around making this trip a lot of fun.

11:17 a.m.: The anticipation of driving over to Levi's Stadium is so thick you can cut it with a knife. Or maybe that's just Karl the Fog.

12:45 p.m.: Left to go to the stadium.

1:18 p.m.: Despite being 2 miles away from the stadium, still stuck in traffic. If I didn't fear getting run over for wearing a Paul Heyman t-shirt, I would have walked.

1:41 p.m.: Finally parked.

2:27 p.m.: Walked forever to get to media check in and after some mix-ups, I'm finally at my seat in the press box.

2:54 p.m.: The pre-show is about to start. Two hours of this, then it's time for WrestleMania!!!

3:06 p.m.: The first match is a four team tag match for the tag team titles between Ceasaro & Tyson Kidd (the champs), The Uso's, Los Matadores and The New Day. Yawn.

3:12 p.m.: Forget about that yawn. Tons of high flying and strength.

3:15 p.m.: Ceasaro & Tyson Kidd win to retain the tag team titles!

3:18 p.m.: WrestleMania is already dominating Twitter (TWTR) - Get Report. Amazing to see how rabid the fan base is!!

3:28 p.m.: ESPN's John Gruden is doing voice work breaking down the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. Love it!!!

3:32 p.m.: Guys are getting thrown all over the ring with 40 men to start. It's pandemonium!!

3:46 p.m.: The Big Show wins it, to the dismay of 75,000 screaming fans. Boos from the crowd.

3:59 p.m.: One minute to go!!!

4:06 p.m.: Daniel Bryan, who won the WWE title last year, is the first man out for the first match of the night, a ladder match. The crowd is rocking for Bryan!

4:24 p.m.: Bryan wins the Intercontinental Championship after an amazing match! This place is rocking!

4:31 p.m.: Next match is Seth Rollins, probably the most hated man in the company against his arch nemesis, Randy Orton. Should be physical!

4:48 p.m.: Randy Orton wins with a sick RKO!!

4:57 p.m.: Time for Sting's first WWE match. He's been doing this for 30 years and is a legend in the business. Can't wait to see it!

5:01 p.m.: Triple H comes out as The Terminator. Pretty sweet entrance!

5:15 p.m.: Random DX appearance to help HHH overcome Sting!!

5:17 p.m.: Even more random NWO appearance to even the odds for Sting

5:24 p.m.: Triple H gets the win and the crowd boos uncontrollably.

5:48 p.m.: Good women's match with AJ Lee & Paige getting the win. Good to see women getting a chance

5:59 p.m.: Next up is Rusev vs. John Cena for the U.S. Championship. Entrances are awesome: Russian military and an amazing pro-USA video package. Boy, do I miss Ronald Reagan.

6:28 p.m.: Cena gets the win!! He's the new United States Champion!!

6:31 p.m.: Just got choked out by WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund.

6:36 p.m.: 76,976 people officially announced at WrestleMania. It's amazing how many people are here. Just unreal

6:49 p.m.: Oh my God! The Rock is here!!

6:57 p.m.: UFC bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey gets her WrestleMania moment!! Love Ronda!!!

7:00 p.m.: Next up is Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker. Who's the real face of evil???

7:09 p.m.: The Undertaker entrance never gets old.

7:12 p.m.: Another pic with Sgt. Slaughter. It's a yearly tradition now.

7:25 p.m.: Undertaker is back in the win column! 22-1 at WrestleMania!!

7:31 p.m.: Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the title!! This is going to be the most physical match of the night and I. CAN'T. WAIT.

7:45 p.m.: Brock has hit nearly a dozen suplexes on Roman. How either man is standing is beyond me.

7:54 p.m.: From out of nowhere, the most hated man in the company, Seth Rollins, runs in to cash in his money in the bank contract to try and win the title!

7:57 p.m.: It's over! Rollins pins Reigns! Rollins is your new champ!
