said today that it will sell its 76% interest in South Africa's

UUnet SA

to

WorldCom

(WCOM)

for $138.5 million.

The agreement still needs approved by South Africa's Competition Commission. UUnet, which offers Internet communication services, is already a unit of WorldCom with operations in several countries.
