warned Wednesday that quarterly results could be lower than expected.
Peregrine, which makes software to help firms manage physical and financial assets, said revenue for its fiscal second quarter that ended Sept. 30 would be about $175 million, with earnings coming in at about 5 cents a share. Analysts were expecting 7 cents a share and $177 million in revenue, according to Thomson Financial/First Call.
Check Point, which makes Internet security software, said it expects 28 cents to 29 cents a share for its third quarter, which ended Sept. 30, and revenue between $117 million and $118 million. Analysts were expecting $130 million in revenue, and 29 cents a share in earnings, according to Thomson Financial/First Call.
