Vodafone is a bit late to the game since the iPhone already is sold in the U.K. by Orange, which is owned by

France Telecom

(FTE)

, and

Telefonica's

(TEF) - Get Report

O2.

"We started preparing our network over a year ago so that iPhone customers will really feel the advantage of being with Vodafone," said Guy Laurence, CEO of Vodafone UK, in a statement on the company's Web site."We will offer an outstanding iPhone experience wherever our customers live, work and travel, delivering speed and reliability -- something our customers have told us they really value."

The cheapest contract will cost 30 pounds ($48.37) a month for 24 months.in the U.K. on the networks of Telefonica's O2 and France Telecom's Orange.
