iPhone chatter has picked up again as

Bloomberg

cited two sources who are calling for the

Apple

(AAPL) - Get Report

phone's arrival in January.

The new round of speculation comes a week after Barclays analysts predicted a

fourth-generation wireless version of the iPhone

to kickoff at Verizon in January.

These reports confirm a story

TheStreet

reported that said production of a CDMA version of

the iPhone was set for November

and would arrive in the months to follow.

The current round of speculation adds fuel to the investment theme that Apple will see an entire new leg of hyper growth should it end its exclusive sales deal with

and start selling phones to some of Verizon's 92 million customers.

Verizon shares, which were down 2% amid a widespread selloff, reversed course on word of the

Bloomberg

report Tuesday and rose 1% to $29.16 briefly.
