Ministry of Finance Insurance Supervisor Tzipi Samet has decided to resign the position after four years, Ma'ariv reports.

According to Ma'ariv, Samet's contract expires in April, and she is now looking for new challenges. Estimates are she will opt for the corporate world.

According to the newspaper, Finance Minister Silvan Shalom has begun negotiations to find a replacement for Samet. One possible candidate is Eyal Ben Shalosh, deputy insurance and capital markets supervisor at the Treasury, who helped Samet implement several reforms.
